Top 10 Funny Clips from Ragingly Hilarious Films [Keoki’s Picks]

The downside to having a childhood filled with cinema is that when you’re a natural comedian among friends, references are either gotten completely or missed depending on the sub-grene most loved and watched. Nevertheless, Keoki is here to deliver his top ten picks of the comedic genre.

10. TALLADEGA NIGHTS: THE BALLAD OF RICKY BOBBY – DEAR LORD BABY JESUS

“NASCAR superstar Ricky Bobby (Will Ferrell) is at the top of his game; adored by fans, a trophy wife by his side, and incredible wealth. 9.TED 2 (2015) – TRIX ARE FOR KIDS

Angry and dejected, the lovably foulmouthed teddy bear must now seek legal help from a young lawyer (Amanda Seyfried) and a legendary, civil-rights attorney (Morgan Freeman) to get the justice he deserves.”

8. BAD BOYS II (2003) INTIMIDATING REGGIE

“The drug ecstasy is flowing into Miami, and the police want it stopped. Police Detective Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) and his partner, Mike Lowrey (Will Smith), are just the men to do it. They track the drugs to a Cuban smuggler, Johnny Tapia (Jordi Mollà), who is also involved in a bloody war with Russian and Haitian mobsters. If that isn’t bad enough, there’s tension between the two cops because Lowrey is romantically involved with Burnett’s sister, Syd (Gabrielle Union).”

7. POOTY TANG (2001) – POOTIE TOO GOOD!

“Adapted from a comedy sketch on HBO’s “The Chris Rock Show,” Pootie Tang (Lance Crouther) is the ultimate superhero. A cool-walking, smooth-talking lady’s man, Pootie is a hero and a role model to all the kids of the neighborhood. Everybody looks up to Pootie except evil Dick Lecter (Robert Vaughn), CEO of Lecter Corp., a company that makes cigarettes, alcohol and fast food. Pootie shows cool determination and strength to prevail over Lecter and his minions.”

6. TROPIC THUNDER (2008) WHAT DO YOU MEAN, YOU PEOPLE?

“While shooting a war film, the director attempts to liven up proceedings by dropping the principle actors into the middle of a real jungle, claiming he is going to capture their performance with hidden cameras. 5. SORRY TO BOTH YOU (2018) – “FREESTYLE SCENE”

“As head of security at the Forest Ridge Mall, Ronnie Barnhardt (Seth Rogen) takes his job very seriously, enforcing mall rules with an iron fist. When a flasher strikes Forest Ridge, Ronnie sees a chance to display his unappreciated cop skills and bring the felon to justice, and, at the same time, impress his dream girl (Anna Faris) and win a coveted spot at the police academy.”

Top 10 Favorite “Whoa, That Was Out There!” Films [Keoki’s Picks]

Prepare to have your eyes widened and your tastes broadened. Here we go again!

Increasingly curious about the outside world, the older daughter (Aggeliki Papoulia) hatches a plan to escape.”

4. SCARY MOVIE

“Defying the very notion of good taste, Scary Movie out-parodies the pop culture parodies with a no-holds barred assault on the most popular images and talked-about moments from recent films, television and commercials. Top 10 Live-Action Killers from Other Films Who Could Stomp John Wick [Keoki’s Picks]

As a cinephile and action cinema aficionado, I love debating the feats of a character versus another from a completely different franchise. I worship thoughts of crossovers and outcomes between parties, given their respective accomplishments. I love the ‘John Wick’ franchise because it made Heroic Bloodshed cinema, once again, step their game up. Similar to how ‘The Raid’ movies encouraged martial arts films to take their choreography and editing to the next level. The characters chosen from the selection below are also used as loose archetypes in an upcoming ‘Omniverse Myths’ short story about my wonderful world of assassins and a tournament similar to ‘The Club’ for the Xbox 360 and the film ‘The Tournament’. Be on the lookout for that tale soon!

The first video game console that I owned was the Super Nintendo. Top 10 Favorite Older Generation First-Person Shooters (2000 – 2015) [Keoki’s Picks]

My favorite genre of gaming next to fighting, is without a doubt, first-person shooters. The immersion, violence, options, storytelling, and customization make it the closest one can get to a detailed experience constructed from the imagination of developers. Every decade, the industry pushes the boundaries of what it can unexpectedly introduce to a player’s world. I dare say that graphics mean very little if the art direction is purposeful. As a designer, rather than select which I find were the best, I’ve decided to list what titles stood out in terms of how much fun I had and breaking the mold of what I was used to of the genre. Enjoy!
